Artisan Liqueur

Kentish Spritz

We’re very proud of being a Kentish product and love showcasing the best our county has to offer. We’ve created a cocktail that offers a taste of summer fresh from the Garden of England: the Kentish Spritz. It combines our liqueur with Biddenden sparkling wine, elderflower and apple for a deliciously refreshing drink.

Chilard + Jordan was founded by a group of friends who create small batch liqueurs based on spirit made from the waste left over from winemaking. Our first liqueur, Batch No 7, features a delicious combination of English honey, thyme and grape spirit, with a dash of warming cinnamon.

We’re lucky that one of our group of friends is a bit of a cocktail whizz – he runs the bar at one of London’s top clubs and has created a series of cocktails using Batch No.7.

Sustainability

Chilard + Jordan is a small-batch premium liqueur that’s focused on sustainability. Our company was founded to reimagine ‘local’ liqueurs and to change the way that people think about ‘waste’. We are exceptionally proud to have such a wonderful winemaking industry on our doorstep, and our liqueurs demonstrate how the high quality fruit it produces can live beyond the winery doors. By combining spirit made from pomace (the pips and sticks left over from winemaking) with the best local ingredients, we create delicious drinks which challenge perceptions.

Winter Liqueur

We can only make the spirit our liqueur is based upon once a year, so we’re very attuned to the rhythm of the seasons!

In 2023 we launched our first seasonal expression, which celebrates the period when we can get cosy and enjoy time with family and friends. This liqueur stays true to the Chilard + Jordan DNA, but layers warming winter spices and zesty orange on top. It’s a Kentish/Alpine fireside mash-up and it’s perfect mixed with Armagnac for a Rusty Nail. (Two parts Winter Liqueur to one part Armagnac, in case you’re feeling inspired!)

Our story

We’ve all been friends for years, not to mention shared numerous drinks together during that time, but we never once thought about making something of our own – until Hilary came back from Greece with a new obsession for an old local recipe. We took this as our inspiration and spent the next two years playing around in our kitchen with saucepans and every variation of the ingredients we could get our hands on!

After much trial and error, we perfected a version which pays tribute to the original but also reflects the richness of the countryside around us in Britain. We were fortunate to find wonderful distilling partners who then made our vision a reality, and we’re beyond proud that Chilard + Jordan Batch No. 7 is now stocked in some of our favourite bars around the country, as well as of course in the home bars of discerning drinkers!
